- The festive season is officially over. The last drop of the Warninks Advocaat has now been drunk. Admittedly, I had to downsize the size of my glass. The added bonus is that it is the last of the maraschino cherries too. Thank goodness I don’t have to see a nearly empty jar of them every time I open the fridge for the next eleven months.The first of the Camellia Japonia. Spring is coming. The days are getting longer.One evening last summer I was standing on a packed commuter train from Bologna to San Giovanni, fretting that I would miss my stop and wondering if I was making a big mistake. Going to a place I have never been before and not quite knowing how I was going to get back. The only thing I did know was that there was a restaurant - Osteria del Mirasole that I hoped would be worth all the hassle and stress of getting to.Today is #ipmdrome International pasta machine day. The Rome part is @carla_tomasi who is behind the hashtag.
